Perch and pike kayaking adventure on a lake formed by a lock
Join us for an unforgettable day of perch and pike fishing from a kayak on a truly unique Swedish lake. Locks in the river have created a lake with a mix of deep channels, rocky shores and shallow bays, all surrounded by a classic Swedish forest landscape with rugged rock formations.
We troll in the deeper parts of the lake and cast along the banks, exploring various fishing spots, including the slow-flowing water where the river flows into the lake. Here, the current attracts larger predators that hunt bait fish as they struggle in the current.
The highlight of the trip is a magical, shallow area where an ancient forest was flooded when the locks were built. With depths often less than a metre and countless submerged tree trunks, this is a true paradise for perch. Under the right conditions and with perfect technique, several large perch can be caught within minutes.
This area is also an excellent pike area. In autumn, large pike come here to hunt perch and feed for the winter. These hunts are among the most exciting experiences in predator fishing: explosive attacks in shallow, obstacle-rich water.
In addition to fishing, wildlife also contributes to the adventure. In spring and summer, you can see a pair of falcons nesting on one of the islands, and if you are fortunate, you may even see them diving for fish in the water where you are fishing.
This is more than just fishing; it is an immersion in wild Sweden, from kayak seat to treetop.
The price includes soda, all materials, fishing permit, fully equipped pedal kayak, photo's and returning to the starting location, clothing not included.
